Katie  would like to attend Western Michigan University and possible play soccer there. Though she's still undecided, she has wanted to be a journalist for a newspaper or magazine for a long time. Katie plays soccer for the school and is a member of the BHS Times staff.

Freshmen and sophomores eat lunch in the aux gym to provide more space between tables. Juniors and seniors eat in the cafeteria. Additionally, BHS has four lunch periods, rather than the traditional three, in order to further space out students.

Brighton athletes take on college

The Art Club painted some of the windows in our sunshine hall for the Christmas season, they thought it’d be fun to do a shrek themed window which has turned into a big hit with all the students who pass the windows in the hall. Junior Emily Whitlow, said “I saw the window painting and was amazed, I love the shrek movie and seeing that the art club chose that as a theme made me so happy!”

Traditions at BHS make it memorable

A soccer tournament in St. Louis, Missouri enabled a handful of players from Michigan to be able to visit the Gateway Arch. Abbey Renner (11), Reagan Allen (10), Autumn Neville (10), Katie Tarnacki (11), and Mary Grimes (10), all just started playing together this year at the Michigan Jaguars. “I never got to do anything like this at my old club and I’ve never been to St. Louis before so this experience was amazing.” Neville says.
